Because education and learning are always important, QS/1® and Integra® have created an all-new, ongoing virtual series. Each iQ Virtual Series occurs live on Wednesdays over a three-week period, so you get short, targeted learning opportunities while minimizing time away from running your pharmacy. We are eager to stay connected because we believe we are smarter, stronger, and better together.
This virtual education series is designed to provide valuable, flexible interaction – industry education, product training, continuing education credits, and opportunities for networking. Other interactive inclusions are a full Exhibit Hall, live customer panels, an Interface Café, networking, and giveaways.
The first series is planned for June 24, July 1, and July 8.
On May 11, we rolled out our new RedSail Technologies, LLC, email addresses, replacing smithtech.com. When you receive an email from a RedSail employee, regardless of the brand they represent – QS/1, Integra®, or PUBLIQ® Software – their email will be firstname.lastname@redsailtechnologies.com.
For an extended period, employees will continue to receive emails via their smithtech.com address to ensure we're always reachable.
Thank you for your trust in us as your vendor partner.
Pharmacy COVID-19 Testing
The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on April 8, 2020 that it would allow licensed pharmacists to order and administer coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) tests to their patients. The HHS guidance directs pharmacists to review Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) emergency use authorizations (EUAs) for diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices to diagnose and respond to public health emergencies. Additional information is available on the Diagnostic Testing from SARS-CoV-2 FAQs.
In part two of our discussion on QCompass with Hannah Fish, Pharm.D., from the National Community Pharmacists Association, we learn what pharmacists should be doing if they decide to conduct testing inside the pharmacy.
We want to remind you about new message types for the pharmacy side of the ePrescribing network: RxChange and RxFill.
We worked hard to ensure the new version of the ePrescribing standard was ready for you prior to the CMS-mandated date, January 1, 2020. We took all the existing ePrescribing transaction types (NewRx, RefillRequest, CancelRx) and made the changes necessary to support the new 2017071 version. The number one priority of the New SCRIPT Standard was to reduce errors and increase patient safety, but the enhancements also boost the operational efficiencies of pharmacies and collaboration with prescribers. And the best news is this new functionality has been added at no additional charge.
